Giacomo Tora: CHF Concert
7th November - 6.30pm
Lamport Hall is delighted to be hosting a magical Autumn concert in aid of the Counties Heritage Foundation.
The Counties Heritage Foundation is a charity that supports the conservation of arts and heritage for the public benefit in the four counties of Northamptonshire, Rutland, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire through its heritage grants. Each year, since its foundation 4 years ago, the charity has held an evening candlelit concert at Lamport Hall to highlight a rising star concert performer.
The concert itself will take place in the beautiful High Room, with pre-concert drinks and canapes being held in the Oak Room.
This year the concert features Italian pianist Giacomo Tora who recently gained international attention with his debut album, Hommage a BACH, and his sold out debut at Pianissimo Festival. His performances have been praised by critics.
As a young artist, Giacomo Tora has already performed in many prestigious venues across Europe, including Teatro del Bibiena, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Auditorium Joseph Kosmo, the State Hermitage Museum, Holywell Music Room, Steinway Hall, and Auditorium Monteverdi, among others. He has also been invited to give solo recitals at major festivals such as the XXXV International Chamber Music Festival 'Umbria Classica', the Keyboard and Voice Festival at the Old Royal Naval College and Blackheath Halls, and the Pianissimo Festival.
He studied with Roberta Bambace in Italy and Deniz Arman Gelenbe in London, where he also received coaching from Martino Tirimo, Mikhail Kazakevich, and Sergio De Simone. Additionally, he attended masterclasses with Pascal Rogé, Bruno Canino and Françoise Thinat.
Giacomo Tora has been supported by the Charles Haimoff Foundation, Alfred & Therese Kitchin, Trinity College London, and the Robert Turnbull Piano Foundation.
The programme will include J.S. Bach, Liszt, Kurtág and Debussy.
