The House and Gardens are currently closed, however we hope to open the gardens in late summer. More details to follow soon.
To allow us to best prepare for the safety of our visitors, please read the below carefully in order to prepare for your next visit:
In order to control visitor numbers, you MUST book a time-allocated slot on our website in advance to be allowed entry in to the gardens. This includes Historic House members, Lamport Society members and those with Annual Passes. VISITORS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON SITE WITHOUT A PRE-BOOKED TICKET. If you possess one of these memberships, please bring your card with you on the day of your visit. If not, we may not be able to grant you access to the gardens.
Please only arrive within your designated time slot. There are two time slots to choose from – they are 1pm-2.30pm and 3pm-4.30pm. This means that each visitor has a time limit of an hour and a half to enjoy the gardens. Gates close at 4.45pm.
To book, just select how many tickets you require of each category below. If you have a Historic Houses membership, a Lamport Society membership or an Annual Pass, you do not have to pay again but you MUST still book a space below. For those purchasing tickets, you may do so online. We will not be accepting ANY payments on site on the day of your visit.
TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE IN DUE COURSE. KEEP CHECKING OUR WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS FOR UPDATES.
How it works
Once you have parked in the stable yard, please make your way back towards the Hall where a ticket wagon will be waiting to check your tickets at a safe distance. Please take a garden leaflet and use the hand sanitizer provided.
When you are enjoying the gardens, please be respectful of both the site and other visitors. This means making sure that you are staying 2 metres apart from others and not gathering with more than 6 people outside of your household. Please be aware of disabled visitors who may not be able to move aside as easily as you. Children should stay close to their parents/guardians. Please follow all signs and guidelines during your visit.
Toilets: Please note that our toilets will NOT be open, except to disabled visitors. Toilets will be available to disabled visitors on request.
Picnics: Picnics are allowed, however they may only be eaten in the designated picnic area. Signs will be visible on site to show you where this is. Please ensure that you take ALL rubbish with you.
Dogs: Well-behaved dogs are allowed on site as usual, however they must be kept on a short lead at ALL times. Please note that we do not have dog waste disposal bins on site.
Access: The Hall, stables, Museum of Rural Life, Woodland Walk and access to the rockery will be closed.
Tea Room: The Tea Room will be closed – no catering will be available for purchase on site.
We are so pleased to be able to welcome visitors back to our beautiful gardens! We hope you enjoy your visit. If you have any further questions or concerns, please email email@example.com or call the Estate Office on 01604 686272, Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm.
