Hall & Gardens Visit

For the full Lamport experience, groups will enjoy a guided tour of the Hall (approx. 75 minutes) with our experienced guides who will share stories of the Isham family, the history of the Hall and the inspirational story behind the Hall’s survival in the twentieth century.

Visitors are also free to discover the delights of the gardens. Access to the gardens is unguided to allow visitors time to explore at their leisure, but a Guided Walk leading visitors through the garden’s design, history and modern day developments can be added.

All groups can also enjoy, whenever possible, the beautiful parish church opposite the Hall where many of the Ishams are buried.

Gardens Only Visit

Once home to the first garden gnome, Lamport’s gardens include the beautiful woodland garden, rockery and the Piet Oudolf inspired Walled Garden. Groups may book to visit the gardens either wholly unguided or, for a small additional cost, with a Guided Walk (approx. 1 hour) explaining both the design and fascinating history of the gardens.

All groups can also enjoy, whenever possible, the beautiful parish church opposite the Hall where many of the Ishams are buried.
