‘The Impresario’ – Operatic Comedy

Easter Saturday, 11th April 2020
7.00-8.30pm

Pulp Rocket Theatre brings this fantastic and renowned short comic opera to the glorious Lamport Hall, before their greatly anticipated London performance. The Impresario is one of the more playful of Mozart’s works and this beautifully crafted piece is a lesser-known work, displaying elegant melodies and a farcical plot.

Mr. Angel tries to persuade two sopranos to appear together in an upcoming opera. However, the two women are competitive rivals possessing large egos. A fight for the spotlight commences, resulting in a hilarious romp where both singers try all kinds of tactics to win the adoration of Angel and The Impresario himself.

Performed in the stunning interior of Lamport Hall, a Grade I listed country house in the heart of rural Northamptonshire within easy reach from London, this performance by Pulp Rocket Theatre presents a unique opportunity to enjoy this wonderful production in glorious surroundings.

Tickets include drinks and canapés after the performance in Lamport’s exquisite baroque High Room.

Tickets: £30pp to include drinks and canapes after the performance.
