Forecast Public Art Festival
Sunday 1 and Bank Holiday Monday 2 May
10.00am – 4.00pm
We are delighted to be working with the University of Northampton. The Forecast Public Art Festival showcases emerging talent from the Fine Art course at the University, featuring around 20 new artworks developed in response to Lamport Hall’s unique history and setting. Sculpture, painting, text pieces, sound works and other artefacts will be installed throughout the house and gardens, each exploring a specific aspect of Lamport Hall.
A leaflet will be available to help visitors locate the artworks and understand the background to each artist. Some of the artists will also be on site to explain their work.
As part of the Festival the gardens will be open between 10.00am and 5.00pm both days, with free admission for anyone with a valid Art, Craft & Design Fair ticket. Works displayed in the Hall will be on display between 2.00pm and 5.00pm (last admission 4.00pm) both days. Please note entry to the house is subject to a separate admission charge.
