Spring Photography Competition
Inspired by Lamport scenery and enjoy taking photos with your camera? Or maybe you have just visited our Snowdrops & Spring Walk and taken a photograph you are really proud of?
We are searching for great photographs of Lamport, from the Hall and gardens, to the village and surrounding estate. Send us your photographs for the chance of winning one of our prizes and the shortlisted photographs will be displayed during our Art, Craft & Design Fair (Sunday 6th- Monday 7th May 2018) where the public will vote for the winner!
The theme of the competition is ‘Lamport’, photographs should include Lamport locations, such as Lamport Hall and Gardens, Lamport estate, village or the church.
Send us your picture, along with a brief description, your name, address, telephone number, date and location of the photo to firstname.lastname@example.org. Applicants can enter up to 2 photographs per person and photographs must be at least 2MB in size and in JPEG format. If you are entering a photo it should be your own original work. Please note no internal photography of Lamport Hall is permitted and entry to the Hall & Gardens is only permitted during public opening hours. Access at other times by appointment only.

Submissions that have won other photography competitions are not allowed.
Photographs must have been taken within one year before the date of entry.
Photographs following the Lamport theme will be accepted. No internal photographs of Lamport Hall are permitted.
Access to Lamport Hall and Gardens is only permitted during public opening hours, admission fees apply. Access at other times is by prior appointment only.
All submissions must be made in JPEG format and should be a minimum of 2MB in size for printing.
You may digitally enhance your photo but we will not accept composite images (entries that stitch two or more separate photographs together to make one image, or entries that superimpose elements photographed separately onto an image).
General Terms & Conditions
Entries must be labelled with the entrants name, age and location of photograph.
Entry is limited to no more than two photographs per person.
Please take photographs responsibly and always follow the Countryside Code.
Please stay on public footpaths when on the estate.
Entries will not be accepted outside the advertised closing date and time.
Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
Entrants names and location will be published on the relevant Lamport Hall Preservation Trust (the Trust) online and printed media alongside their photograph.
This competition is open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland, except for employees of Lamport Hall Preservation Trust Limited, their families or anyone else associated with the competition.
Entries should be submitted by email only to firstname.lastname@example.org .
Unsuccessful entrants will not be contacted and no feedback on any entry will be provided.
Entrants must not be professional photographers.
Any personal information you supply us will not be shared with any third parties, and will only be used in direct relation to this competition.
If the winner is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made, the Trust reserves the right to offer the prize to a runner up.
The Lamport Hall Preservation Trust reserves the right to cancel this competition or alter any of the rules at any stage.
These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Judging and Prize
The shortlisted photographs will be selected by the staff at Lamport Hall.
The shortlisted photographs will be judged on the weekend of the Art, Craft & Design Fair Sunday 6th – Monday 7th May 2018, 10am-4pm, by the general public, admission fees apply.
The winning entry will be the photograph with the most votes from attendants to the Art, Craft and Design Fair 6th and 7th May 2018.
If the vote results in an equal result, it is at the discretion of the the Trust Executive Director to allocate the deciding vote.
Closing Date is Sunday 22nd April at 23:59.
Winners will be notified by e-mail before 14 May 2018.
There is no alternative to the prize stated and the prize is not transferable and no part or parts of the prize may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions. The Trust reserves the right to change the prize at any time.
The Trust reserve the right to remove any entries from the competition that they feel may breach or contravene the laws of public decency or may bring the photographer or the competition into disrepute.
The winners may be required to take part in publicity.
The prize is subject to availability.
First prize is for a voucher for a one-day Going Digital photography workshop in the East of England (Leicestershire, Rutland, Northants or Cambridgeshire). Valid until 31.12.18. Workshop attendees under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by a guardian over the age of 16 years throughout the day.
Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Trust and accordingly the Trust may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Trust as a result thereof.
Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.
By entering this competition, you accept that your photograph(s) may be exhibited by the Trust and used to promote the competition and for future marketing. The Trust reserves the right to mount and frame entries for exhibition purposes.
Entrants must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries or their parents/guardians if children under 18 are featured. Where individuals feature, the photographer must seek permission. Entrants must not have breached any laws when taking their photographs. Entrants will indemnify the Trust against any claims made by any third parties in respect of unlawful activity.
By entering the competition your imagery will be used in a range of public and media relations work to raise the profile of the competition and the Trust.
